Not a combination that you’ll see many times in the UK. The wagon owner had won a prize over the weekend at, I believe, the Scandinavian Truck Show. Apparently there’s only 17 bonneted Scanias on the road in the UK, and not many 977L’s in that condition anywhere.

I don’t get it (sorry!)…
They are an expensive weird looking compromised vanity-effort, less practical than the traditional flat-fronted standard trucks they are based on and nowhere near as cool looking as the US trucks they are trying to emulate (in my opinion of course)!

I agree with most of that, but they aren't trying to emulate the American trucks. The swedes always made boneted trucks. And they have their own unique style, without trying to be Yankee.

Think there may be more than that especially if you include the new Gen Vlastuin built ones.
One just went in the A&M auction for over 230k!
Personally whenever I see a tidy a truck like that I think fair play....there's someone taking pride in his job ,wish there was more of it tbh.
