You seem to do a fair bit of this septic work, do you advertise specifically?
Are there new regs now in uk regarding soakaways after tank as opposed to direct to ditch/watercourse ?

Yes regs are are a pain different in England to Wales
Problem our area is full of clay so drainage is a nightmare

Went round and dug a grave for the Ex’s dog yesterday. Poor old lab reaching the end of her time. About 15 years ago I would have cheerfully dig a hole for the the ex herself rather than the dog .
Younger daughter was keen for a play on micro… so she had a few minutes. First time she shown any interest in that sort of thing…. Will try and cultivate the interest.

I’d be interested in stepping a little sideways to this type of work in high end domestic scenarios. Keeps life interesting.

Picked up an oil tank from a difficult spot and dropped it back at the yard. Still had 100l of shite in the bottom which breaches all sorts of regs.. but hey ho - we are in Devon!
I have a sticking lever on the Fassi which needs looking at. First problem with it in 6 years (apart from damaging a pipe by folding it up badly the first ever time).
One of the lads started piping up the GSHP system we are working on with BIL.
And finished the day off by putting the little 1982 FLT back together with the repaired control box. IT WORKS!!!! Been a bit of a saga with this, and very disappointing service from my usual FLT company... but feels like a win to get it running again. All told the total cost is now £1855+vat (including buying it) and with new brakes and 12 months Thorough Exam and the batteries are in great condition..... If it stops costing me money now then I will be happy.
