One of my competitors went squat on Friday. Its been coming for a while. He has a few naughty habits and keeps losing his licence and also keeps undercutting me and others by silly amounts on jobs. Has already got a new LTD company running in his girlfriends name and has already used the new company name to undercut another job (not mine) by over £1000 on a £2400 job. You think he would learn that being the cheapest doesn't pay.... but obviously no

i have giving up worrying about arseholes like that ,

Watched that earlier.
Not a nice video to make but fair play to him I say
Just goes to show how crap running tippers must be.

He's in the right spot for the new Heathrow runway though 🙃

I haven’t seen the latest video, saw one a while ago where some trucks were being sold off at Euro auctions. It’s not the first of his companies that have been wound up/in administration. Some of the figures owed are crazy….£600k+ owed to HMRC. Is it just a case of too easy to rack up debt and walk away and start again!?

Of course it bloody is. But if you do a few YouTube videos people will think you're a great guy and forget about the people you screwed over.

absolutely .. don't GAF about who he is - should be in debtors prison along with all the other go bust-start again in the morning merchants that are the scourge of the country and all the creditors they owe
and don't whine on about him being owed - his fault giving credit levels that were unsustainable without damaging his own biz

Has he taken anyone?
Valid point and the fact that he said he secured jobs and hasn't run and hid struck me as fairly decent but I don't know the whole story obviously.
Doobs got a point but I honestly found his videos that I watched pretty interesting and he didn't shy away from showing the ugly side of it.

Personally unless he's done folk over I hope he does ok...nice to see someone taking on the big corporates head on.

Yep agree. Not 1 for supporting bankruptcy but I don't know who if anyone he has taken. I don't think being forced out of the yard helped him either

well he appears to have screwed HMRC for £600k+ and much as i am a hater of the blood sucking c****, if he owes that much he's obviously earned well over that to be owing at that level - so what happened to it ?? (and the £600k+ owed to HMRC?):unsure:

Video here

He fits a profile for the new “motivated man” type

The type that ppl pay money to try emulate by motivational speakers etc the gym body can do type that don’t acknowledge their own failings etc it’s always someone else’s fault and not theirs.

Mr Teflon type, company will have been switched into someone else’s name to take the hit so they can go again.

Bet he personally won’t have lost a penny

"The administrators were sent in by Ashville’s main funder Cynergy Business Finance."

Someone has decided that they are not happy with there money being played with.

Personally anyone with a large, multifaceted "group" for the reason of "if one business fails" isn't for me..... Other opinions may vary.

I fully understand people running limited companies to safeguard there personal wealth.... But in the group sense it's done to allow you to take extra significant risks.

I don't know the man, and personally I don't dislike him as he seems more level and less of a **** than most. However some of the people he would call "friends" on video are the type I consider are everything wrong with our industry.

Honour and Pride cannot run in separate directions.

Agreed👍🏻 but what's the answer?
Perhaps My rose tinted glasses kinda saw him as a bit of an outlier taking on the big lads .....leave the big stuff to the huge multinational faceless outfits who continue to screw the country dry ?
Just thought the railhead etc was quite a ballsy move.
My two pennyworth 😌

My money would be the railhead is what's killed the tippers, finance company likely isn't willing to fund the entire outfit but the railhead is seen as a reasonably good bet.

I'd also say he is the face for some money I would find unsavoury but thats speculation..... It's surprising how many fingers are in how many pies to the level that some of the wealthy construction mougles must be so inbred there hands have multiples of 20 fingers.

The race for the bottom is always going to be won by the man spending someone else's money.

FYI the answer is hugely punitive taxation of personal assets/savings over a certain amount (we are talking millions) and similar for companies on there annual profits dictated by number of employees..... I.e a one man band shouldn't be talked on anything under £250,000 per year, but a firm doing turnover of 5 million with 10 employees gets nailed.

Likewise asset guard land and estate holdings like other countries do..... If your not a citizen and don't pay tax you can't buy land.

We should also gun down the Tsar come October.....
