These may be cotton, but they are super heavyweight and trust me, they stop hot bits! And anything else you throw at them! I wear the R01 B&B, instead of trousers. They are fantastic for work I find, great pockets ect. They don’t last forever, I’m in them day in day out, and they do wear out, the fabric wears thin in the crotch and then they are past it, but they’ve had a LOT of use by that point, so I’m not bothered.

@Smiffy , I’ve not hear of Ruffntuff? I used to use Rugged & Tough, but they ceased trading for some reason. I now use MI Supplies, and can’t fault them tbh, I tend to by most stuff when it’s on offer if I can.
I must say I do like the Carharrt gear, I think the only think I’m wearing at the moment that’s not Carharrt are my socks! :ROFLMAO:

I’ve also got a pair of lined Carharrt overalls. But you’ve got to be sitting on your arse doing nothing, or it’s got to be -36*C, because they are so bloody warm, if you start grafting, then you soon start sweating! Lovely in the right conditions though.

Ruffntuff are really good and considerably cheaper when on sale the double front ones can get down to 35 quid a pair so I by 3 pairs then
I only wear the trousers or overalls
I like the look of there boots but the full range isn't available here

There is another company that the Americans seem to rate even higher called Duluth trading but no UK dealers

That brings back some memories Lynchy🙂Before my time, a few of the old mans sites in the late 60’s earlier 70’s, remember some of the old boys from growing up. For some reason I remember them to have some sort of different attitude to what’s around now.

This was Jim, shirt and trousers😊 old man used to keep the same lads with him all the time, and was pleased to here years later that he used to pay good bonuses to them as well.

I don't know why ruffntuff have so little on there website atm they don't seem to have anything in the dark brown that I wear and are missing lots of other stuff
I had a pair in kahki once but it faded really badly and showed every stain and looked really grimy

Can get similar prices from MI when they are on sale 👍

How long have you used Ruffntuff? Very similar name to Rugged & Tough, I always wondered if they’d start up again, possibly Ruffntuff is a new company formed after Rugged & Tough?

pair of the B 'n Bs instead of me jeans for a while .. 's getting cool here
If you are going for bib n brace, I take it it’s the R01 style? Not the lined ones? Then go a size up 👍 unless you’ve got a 6pack flat stomach!

Also have you checked for availability in each colour?

All the suppliers seem to be short on stock atm don't know if it's a Brexit thing or trump thing or something
I have emailed ruffntuff ass I could do with a new pair of bib and brace and another pair of double front trousers

Hadn’t read this before my last post, you may just get away with 36” then?
Free returns with MI anyway, so may pay to get a couple of sizes?

See we provide nice Roots flame retardant overalls to everyone with us, but some guys go off their own bat an buy these dungarees to wear in the workshop. I don't think it gives your upper body and arms enough protection when using a welder. To many cases of skin cancer in the trade to ignore it.
