I would say about 900mm long, 300mm wide opening at belt 45 degrees angle and only 300-40m high with about 70-100mm gap from belt, I’d guesstimate it at.

There’s this one which is the same make as my first ones but just need half a day to go to Coventry to get it and the hopper.

Then I’d have 8 x 3m ones and be laughing

If you can make only one side sloped you will decrease the chance of material binding in the hopper.

24 hours into a powercut here. Starting to be annoying now. We are okay with LPG fire and Hob along with cordless lights and USB adaptor from van. Most of the village buggered, no one’s prepared these days. Keep having to take thermos / hot water bottles up to the old chap round the corner as he’s more or less chair bound.
Annoying thing is most of Cornwalls power supply passes over head through edge of village and that’s fine.
I foresee a rush on camping stoves and LPG cabinet heaters next week

congrats on the retirement @Rob65 .. enjoy - you'll soon wonder HTF you found time to go to work -- 2mm ought to be fine for that job - as long as the op. loading it isn't too ham fisted

Thanks Druid, I’m not retired quite yet. Im contracted to the new owner to only work 40hrs a week. That’s part time by comparison to the last 10yrs.

Are you considering that set up from Coventry?
If not I could throw something together between Christmas and new year if that time scale works for you?
I just need to get this little project out of the way in the workshop. I’ve got as far as having 17/18 actions of the solenoid valve controlled hydraulics working yesterday.

A few pics and some critical dimensions would be useful. Particularly the width across the conveyor where the hopper sits.
