Doesn’t everything just jam up in the draws when you turn it onto its wheels? Not going to be how you left it that’s for sure.. unless you foam insert everything.
The military ones are foamed but yes it could be a pita...

What happened to the sling it on the floor and find it later method. 🤪🤪.

I couldn't justify a van dedicated to tools, I've thought about it but where do you draw the line at what tools you take/how you get them to the job.
I carry machine essentials and decent spanners/socket set but that's it.

As always I suppose it depends on your own needs but for me no dedicated tool chest would be the solution to my work.
See im the opposit have a transit dc tipper which can carry the essentials for a days work and an amarok which could cary majority of my kit but tbf nothing beats an organised van can carry everything and more that you need i think i coukd fit pretty much all my kit in a mwb van would be a mess but would never be without a tool even the little things like a pipe chamfer im currently considering getting rid of the pick up for a dedicated tool van

Working out of a double cab pickup or double cab tipper sucks .. tried both and you can’t beat a can where you can climb in the back .

Double cab tipper is fine if you have the right canopy and racking. Chucking it all in a "lifestyle canopy" is not fun.
I think the aus setups that I have posted before look the ultimate.
They must not get tea leaves in aus as it’s a hard setup to keep secure compared to a van.

Yeah definitely think van is way more practical, easy to change into waterproofs or shelter if you've onside repairs

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Looks a good unit but too big for my van I think. 640 deep 200mm too much. Bargain for a fitter or mechanic
been chatting with the guy advertising this this morning ..
he 'knows of me' ..
works for Ex Stock in zooport and knows a lot of ppl who know me ..
looks a nice cab. and'd do for all me leccy had tools ...
if it wasn't forecast more of the same for tomorrow, I'd go get it, but not in this poxy weather - get drowned loading it - it'll wait .. :(

sorry Dave - glanced at the avatar and thought it was six feet .. IIRC he's been looking at chests -- will certainly do a job, 'specially with those decent depth drawers
