or take a wheel off and measure it -- check the load rating on the tyres- not all 165R13s are 'born equal'
but they should be OK for 2t on a twin axle -- 's what I run on my 10 x 5 and my 8 x 4 (2t and 1t respectively)

After asking the seller a few more questions he reckons they won’t fit my trailer as they’re too big on the overall dia and would raise the trailer too much.

-- offset no prob.s .. got loose spares and the stampings may possibly even be readable ... if I'd seen this 'fore it got dark I'd have gone back out and had a look for you ... just done me self a post it and stuck it on the edge of my screen

The 10” rims I have on the trailer have very little offset, probably why 13’s might not fit
Measuring from middle of the rim, it’s 45mm to the rear and 55mm to the front edge of the rim.

Had a chat with a guy from a trailer company yesterday and 13’s will not fit without altering the height of the trailer, also they will be wider than the trailer due to offset.
12’s were mentioned but these would also alter the height slightly.
The trailer, when attached is sitting nice and level so I’d rather not alter this.
I’m going to stick with the 10’s and buy a decent set of rubber for them.

(a) I've had a hell of a night/day

..it's somthing I'd don't want to have to use. Even more so confirmed on my last encounter.

As a bit of an update, and more questions
New boots fitted and marker lights on the front so as I can see the trailer when it’s hitched up.
Question, I’d like a set of ramps for it, length wise what’s the rule of thumb for trailers.
Measuring underneath I think the storage area will take 8’ ramps, but I notice 6’ ramps are also available, what would you guys go for?.
