I will take my dogshit machine and shite skills and make them better, whilst you on the other hand will be a sad little or big man for the rest of your time.

If you'd have done what I said you'd be well on the way to having it fixed it by now.

Instead you keep asking, hoping that someone will say 'replace this fuse mate, problem solved'.

Plant doesn't work like that.

I have been taking on everybody's advice and doing bits at a time and I am going to try your method today as its the only chance I have to take someone else with me to read the meter while I try the pre heat, also the machine is a drive away so only bits at a time can be done.

Ok guys

So battery was at 12.7 this afternoon so no post charge over night.
Hooked it back up, dropped to 12.4 when turned to ignition, dropped to 11.3 on preheat and it's showing 13.9 when engine running.

I'm guessing glow plugs are working then.

I'm thinking of just swapping the battery as bobthebuilder said.

Also is a pic of the fuse box, all fuses are working , we changed the bottom right 15a one and the dashboard illumination when turning light on came alive.

What are the top right black ones, just blanks? There is no continuity in them any way.

In terms of relays, the one that isn't connected is what I think is the radio one, altho the radio was working and I hadn't touched anything in the fuse box.

Got one indicator not working on front of machine, and on rear no reverse light brake lights and n/s side light.

I'm going to swap bulbs and see what happens.

Any advice on this and the battery readings etc. Would be welcome

Plant & machinery is a funny thing, you need all the lights & fuses working before you go any further.. they throw up a hissy fit for no reason.. a new battery would be my next port of call after all that(if the one you have is a old one)

Thanks Dave, I'm getting one tomorrow, I looked on Bobcats recommended chart and it says 31a type.
Should I stick with that or get a more powerful one?

I do my own properties Dave. The one in my profile pic is a large project we are on at the mo for a long term customer,
I dont really work for the general public as they are a pain in the arse..
Along with all this I do alot of motorway service maintenance work.

The job in the picture was originally just a garage conversion and extension.
It turned out..
Garage conversion
Extension size of 2 townhouses
Loft extension on the extension
Under pinning
Loads of walls out
Extensive steelwork
Floors out
Posi joists to existing loft
Steelwork in loft to carry purlins
Alter all existing doorways
Dpc
Board and skim whole place
En suites go every bedroom....

You name it it's been done ..

assume you mean it hadn't changed despite an overnight charge .... I would expect to see it at 13.7V coming off charge ... get a new one ... have had 'em showing 12.7 before and wouldn't turn a little petrol engine over

No it wasn't charged overnight just disconnected , so barely dropped at all since it was on the machine

colder weather will sort out any weak batteries .... for the sake of the aggro, a new one'll see you through the colder months ... and save the starter from a lot of grief too
