Lift plan. I just need to see how much details the diagrams go into as mine has been rejected.

Post up a photo of your lift diagram, details will depend on lift type.

It wasn't anything great tbh and Arial view of an excavator, box for body stick for boom and annotated with obstacles distance from excavations radius of load. And safe/prohibited spaces. Then one to show lift height. Very much 4 year old level of drawing. Then a written paragraph of how the load would be slung. What rigging equipment used. Ground conditions where it would start and end, how it would be final positioned and communication details and machinery details
This was submitted with a permit to lift going into detail about the equipment with certificates and id numbers. Tickets safety procedures and so on. No query on the permit but they didn't like the lift plan. Yet I can't really see what I have missed.

There is a examples of a lift plan towards the end of this, for a lorry loader, but may give you some ideas. There are also examples of different category's of lift and what's needed planning wise.

I've never done a lift plan for an excavator only cranes and forklifts. If you included the lift capacity chart to show that you are within the limits including a 10% safety factor. They're being petty on the drawings.

A photo of the lift chart is on the permit. I think it's confusion being added by the permit to lift as as far as I can tell the permit to lift and lift plan are 90% reapting themselves.
Also trying to digitize everything on safety culture so need to find a way of being able to fill this in digitally.

That would be very useful.
I think it was you that recommended safety culture. We are starting to build up health and safety forms on there.
Do you put things like lift plans on there ??

It's an apthat allows you to create forms, making it far easier to fill in and track paperwork on site.

I don't use safety culture anymore, all change for me now.
We have large H+S dept, and our subbies rams are distributed out to the employees that visit site.
We usually have the subbies bring a folder with hard copies as well..

I'm not an expert or anything like it,but i see quite a few RAMS over the course of a project.
Some are sent to clients like Kier,Mace etc and generally accepted,but sometimes its stupid little details that they want changed.
Like one recently that was rejected because where it stated 'the site' in the numerous pages within the doc, they wanted this changed to the full site address..
As in 'when a delivery comes to site'..Tedious to say the least..

Thanks. @Monkeybusiness has sent me a really good copy of a lift plan and along with the lorry loader document posted I am going to review it all on Monday. And hopefully review our lifting rams as well as I know what we have needs improving.
