Yes! If the battery is charged it will tip anything you can fit on it…

That's the problem In itself. You think your going great until the battery goes flat and you have to hand pump it. Definitely would recommend fitting an Anderson connector to the front of the trailer and either another Anderson on the back of the tow vehicle or seeing as I'm sure most on here carry jump leads anyway, then just fit a pair of Anderson plugs 3/4 of the way on your jump leads

I set ifor tipper it up to run direct from 3.5t tipper truck batteries ising an anderson connector.

Was going to be my question - why not just hardwire it into the vehicle so it’s always connected?

Usually you’re not making that many tips per day and the caravan socket or charging at the yard is sufficient

I assume That’s through the 13pin socket then? So like you say realistically a couple of tips a day and you’d not need to faf around charging it up at night

I was looking at tipper trailers the other night but payload on most were around 2.6t bit too close for the avant and ez26

Mine won’t, it’s shocking at tipping heavy stuff ram is mounted al wrong for it can see it lifting middle of bed but won’t tip had to shovel fair few loads to back to get started or help it to get going with digger on corner

The trickle charger leads on side not enough for jumping it
Was playing up, battery was testing fine on davensett charger but had corroded on terminals cleaned it up and fitted davenset then have plug in truck for connecting up jump pack

No, charging is through a seperate socket, like on a caravan.

On 13 pin it should trickle charge off towing vehicle

if you have the old double 7 pin socket set up ... the new 13 pin replaces all of the functions of both 7 pin sockets

I’ve never had an issue with tipping power when fully charged - have had some terminal corrosion issues that have had an affect over the years though.

If your using a 13 pin plug, just check its wired with the power feed, a factory fit on a ford ranger doesn't
