Was reading up about him though- interesting his thoughts on death penalty as a deterrent- or lack of. I guess if your of the state of mind to carry out something as sadistic as Southport you probably not thinking about what comes later- indeed a lot of murderers who commit in a somewhat frenzied attack( as opposed to the more cool/calculated approach over a period of time) take their own life- thinking Jake Davison-Plymouth shooter, Derrick Bird etc.it was said that Pierpoint slept like a baby, every night, happy in the fact he was doing the world a service .. I could get my head around that too, when there is absolutely no question of doubt.![]()
Pierpoint executed people who were later found to be not guilty. But I think in a scenario where there is absolutely no doubt.... Why the F should they be entitled to breath the same air and be propped up by the tax paying public living a sheltered life in jail...
