all the crap is going to be inside the return filter ... pick up wants changing - looks saturated in crud :(
Gave the pick up a good clean and flush through, its a fine gauze. will get the return apart and have a look (y)

couple of cans of carb cleaner and a long nose air blaster, from inside is going to do that a lot of good ... 'praps a soak in some thinners first too

It’s what I do!
They do look a bit dirty, could be that the pilot filter is the same, have you checked that?

Yep changed that, but much happier this morning as just done a couple of hours work with it and it’s quietened right down and no vibration through the levers, going to change the suction filter anyway just as a precaution don’t know why I didn’t do it when I changed the oil.
Seams like the 4000hrs Takeuchi recommend their hydraulic fluid is good for is a bit misleading as it’s only done 3200? Admittedly over 7 years?
Any way fingers crossed the problems solved and it’s not done to much long term damage.

Good result,

Do you use many attachments with it? The more tou use attachments the more often id change the hydraulic oil.

I do remember hiring a crusher bucket from some bloke in Ireland a few years ago 🤣, 🤣, that probably worked the oil hard.👍

Yea, but if you have a hammer etc on regular its worth changing it earlier to
I’ll be changing it a bit more often now anyway, all to easy to neglect oil I guess, until you get bit of a wake up call that is.
I usually hire in a machine for hammer work but it has had one on it a few times, also an auger and a flail once. 👍

So many moving parts in that front end, but they come into their own on a tight site, fortunately changing the Hyd fluid seems to have cured my problem.

We had arm off ours for 7 weeks or more all new pins and loads of work nightmare when they go wrong but yes great on a tight site

It’s also probably 4K hours with regular filter changes.. miss one out and it’s probably down to 3k hours before it needs changing.

Takeuchi work it out on percentage use with attachments ok if owner/op but hire machines use is never recorded, if permanent use then oil change is down to 50 percent 2000 hrs🤷‍♂️

Which is ok if the original oil quality is good, I have drain hydraulic oil at 1000 hrs it’s black! But I’m criticised for doing it early! But when inspecting a damaged pump there is lots of grazing on all moving parts🤷‍♂️
