talking to a chap I know last week, had been up to London and back in someone's Tesla .... said he'd never get in another one .... cramped, harsh, incredibly noisy ride ... said he felt every bump/pothole in the road ... nearly caught a train back

So Fisker goes bust.
Fancy new showroom in M.Keynes slashed prices a few weeks back,now customers are potentially stuck with bricked vehicles.
Stories out there of cars being at main dealers with relatively minor issues that cant be resolved due to lack of parts/supply chain.
Things like door handles and screens taking months to sort. The UK website is still live and selling cars.

Ahh the Saturday mornings mooching around a scrap yard for parts, stuffing a gas strut down your trouser leg so you didn't have to pay for it lol. Then Saturday afternoon fitting whatever you've bought so you could go to work on Monday. Now the amount you'd have to spend on diagnostic equipment just to try to figure out what is going wrong would cost as much as the car is worth if its over a few years old.

We have two different DPD drivers on our route one has a diesel Merc the other has an electric transit, This week he has delivered to us twice in the afternoon and he has been swealtering water pouring out of him. I said have you got air con he said yes but i can't use it coz the battery cant cope with this time of the day after all my deliveries and now i am doing collections I wont have enough juice left to get back to the depot!

I've had my EV for a year now, and I love the power and speed of it.

Mine is a Kia Niro EV with a 64.4kwh pack. It is advertised as 275 mile range, but as I live 20miles out of Bristol and most of my mileage is motorway, I tend to get 220ish in summer and 200ish in winter. If I could get another hundred miles then I'd be very happy - hopefully the next generation in a year or two will ease that pain.

Free charging at work is dead handy too!

if it's anything like Topkits DPD driver above .... not far and probably a week if anyone else in their neighbourhood wants to boil the kettle or cook tea
