do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
as said elsewhere .. quick grass annihilation yesterday afternoon waiting to get lashed on, but didn't
...
been driving the Countax, mowing the grass here for 14 years ... got down the end of the drive yesterday, reached behind me to lift the collector and thought that came up easy
.....
then realised I'd pulled the dump lever, not the lift and emptied the collector basket on the bloody floor
never done it before - right brain fart moment
had to barrow it back to our tipping point
....
Pam thought it was hilarious, when I told her

today's caper's been on the cards for a week or two ...
wanted a piece of 150mm bar to do this with and could NOT find a piece anywhere, so had to cut a couple of bits of 200 and weld 'em together
As I had the genny wound up for the bandsaw, thought I'd use the Ajax to hole 'em - less effort than the Meddings for 17mil holes
had a cunning plan to utilise some existing bracketry on the arse end of the 'new' Countax 'tug'
stitched up for a trial fit ..
" perfick "
.... back off and welded up - then add some 'balls' for a trial ...
little trailer/skip chassis sits at 10" centre and std.s are 16" so wanted to be able to handle both -- slight issue with having them 6" apart ... couldn't quite get the lower hitch open enough, in line, to attach it, so had to drop it on at an angle, to clear the upper ball
...
couldn't find a spacer plate in me cupboards of various hitch/trailer bits, so had to haul this out ... made this when I was 17 and it has been on some different vehicles over the years and towed a multitude of trailers too

and I'm out of pix
