Videos are so varied and huge file sizes I never asked my guy why we can’t have them but I kind of already know the file sizes will be way to large

Yeh can understand it .... these were less than 3 meg so thought they might load .... no worse than a large pic.

Looks a smart back body on the hilux. Any more details?

It's Alex's ... he designed it and had it made by some bodybuilders ... it is VERY smart ... I spent some time straightening out the bed for it, that he fabbed up and making the wings ... pix were in my CEF thread, a while back. Need a good bench and some practice to make flat beds and keep 'em flat.

not the greatest of pix and still bits to be done ... the back end has some under-body tool boxes being made ATM, to come down to the wings and infill the 'void'. They took some measuring up a few weeks ago .... the body guys did a superb job on it including some stunning paintwork. Making flat ali panels that well takes a LOT of doing .... he's since put a full set of up-rated 'spendies' on it with IIRC +2" of lift and pre-loaded for the additional dead weight.
Gives about 800kg payload, with it all fitted

spent a few years in Oz Andy and it's a combination of all the best features he saw on 'utes' out there and a few of his own ideas. he tells me that you can buy just a chassis cab out of the dealers out there ..... or spec. exactly what you want on it and it arrives in this sort of spec./flatbed/whatever .... new out the box

Its a real shame as tbh i think the double cab pickup in this country is such compromise its not really good at anything
Nowhere to put tools bar the back seat put a canopy on and cant reach the back of the tub no canopy=no security load it up and the weight sits to far over the back axle
With the wheel arches protruding into the load space its a really awkward space to put big items in and shovel loose material out of
Flat decks with under body storage look much more useful or as the call them in aus 1/4 canopy then still room to chuck dirty stuff

there are some stunning looking bits of kit available out there Boyo .... it's a whole industry, producing this gear ..... and a lot of it'll outlast the truck's lifetime.
Alex's will, without doubt, see a few chassis under it .... in fairness to him, he spent a lot of time considering exactly what he wanted and how to build it ... got it right first time

been firewood juggling today ... amongst other things

bag lifter is so easy and quick ...

and 'Pam friendly' ... POP to use

three and a half bags later ... and two hours of in/out - up/down

get a few more in there yet ..... after a bit more of a square up ................... and my feet have recovered

losing the bags made some space to relocate some of me pallet pile and the third wood box off the new flat area

to get this all clear ready for some black stuff and 40mm

Saturday saw three more bags down the wood shed ...

and almost finished stuffing it by teatime

also slotted the last three, out of the ten I'd filled, into me trailer for a Sunday morning delivery to the step daughter's in the village ..... gotta keep that lil' girl of theirs warm, when the weather turns to sh1t ..

which it has well and truly done yesterday and today howling, horizontal rain ..... lots of it !!!!

got the last of me pallet stack slotted away for now ......

with all the bags gone off the top of the drying cages.

stopped off on me way back from the village for a bit of an inspection to see what the field's looking like ....

was going to give it another once over, ....... 'til the weather turned to sh*t ... be a while 'fore i can get on there again after the last two days rain ... with wheels, anyway !!

Pallex turned up yesterday morning with me latest acquisition

welcome home to me plasma .... bought it back off the CEF member who bought it back in '14 .....

with 3 phase now on tap ..... 120 Amps of plasma will make for some easy cutting of most things I want to do .... will do 32 clean and more with patience

Needed a bit of a clean, but he'd done an excellent packaging job, for it's trip back from Ireland ! Got it unpacked and away just before the heavens opened and it chucked it down

in light of yesterday afternoon's weather and the forecast for today, we'd planned a day out to go take a look at this .....

new Trago Mills shop in Merthyr ... it's ****ing HUGE!!

looks like a Disney creation .... God knows how they got planning for it ???

600 metres long in the main 'hall' .... stood at the one end you can't make out the other end clearly - where the floor stops and the roof starts

Been to their other places in Devon and Cornwall years ago and always well priced and stocked with all sorts of interesting stuff .... this one's no different, just on a MASSIVE scale .... picked up a few bits and bobs ... that you'd just not expect to find ... like boxes of M20 nuts, - got a great range of fixings .. huge tool selection .... all sorts of stuff and well priced, as usual.

Nice roast turkey lunch - I love turkey and again very well priced !!

wild old day though .... front sliding doors blew in as I was heading out of 'em ... caused a bit of a panic with the staff !! think they may need a rethink on them .... some screening might be in order outside the entrance or they're gonna be sorting them on a regular basis ..... but if they will build in Merthyr!? ..... LOL

It is massive!! must be pretty new that Gra, as I don’t remember seeing it the other year when I was down for the Fan?? But this year I was like WTF is that!!, and thought the same about planning?? Suppose the turrets break up the sides of it, thought it was some sort of distribution warehouse at first until I asked one of the GF’s on this job who lives near there......was trying at the time to see how you get to that old railway bridge/viaduct, think you can walk across it???....it looks stunning, and quite a feet of engineering really with all those arch’s

will have to find you a pic of yon Morso wood burner Ross .... featured a few times on CEF and yeh .... a LOT of wood ..... hopefully 3 winters-worth in all ... wood shed'll usually see us through a winter, with a bit left over, as a rule. Depends on when it kicks off, really and how long it lasts!!

the link thing is simple
open an image in say a Google search or even my photobucket (which I've so far failed to get to link) .
copy the image address from the header
click on the picture icon and select the link option
paste the link into the box and click "insert"

as said ..... they don't show in preview, but can see them load in the posting box/window
assumed they weren't going to appear in the post so copied and pasted them in, as an alternate with "copy image" option in the drop down on Right click.
they did show on the post ...... but I came back nearly an hour later and as said the links were also showing.
edited it, to explain the double images and damn me if they didn't show again in the preview, but were in the editing box
"saved" the changes ..... still didn't show so went to bed
damned if they're not showing again this morning

one for your tech boys to look at perhaps ??
my photobucket links don't work either and have tried all link options available (4 types) .... that said .... I've never left a link up long enough (like an hour) to see if they do appear .... appear instantly on other forums by inserting links

Yehh it is impressive, but it’ll be a case of looking at it “before” rather than “after”, too ruined to do anything after that, never mind sight seeing!!...... that’s going to be some place then, but was told to keep me hands in my pockets cos they do know how to charge in there!
