To get onto my hillside where my parents farm is and yard is you have to go through a low railway bridge only way onto the hillside of 10 or so properties, it’s next to a rural station. Many times over the years come home late to find a car parked under the bridge steamy windows and surprised people in the headlights. We had crazy old gardener in his 80s lived in caravan on local farm used to go to station and watch the car park from the bushes loved telling you all about the weekend antics. We’ve two small towns either side of the rural bit so only 15 mins drive for the outdoor lovers lol

There's gotta be a reason these campers and combi vans are so popular.

Managed to fit the whole thing into a 35yd bin & with the trailer sorted all done in a easy day

I do lift plans for this type of job fairly often - just make sure you spec a big enough crane and work to the plan (essentially only work to max 50% of the crane’s capacity at whatever radius as the weight of the lifts aren’t known).

Friday afternoon 3pm turned dumper off while some old folks came past went to restart it made a weird sound and no go, had to be home for 5 to get little one from nursery with prospect of a very busy weekend due to good weather. Took 3 ton up and front back drag it to the side of path and barrierd it off

So today was recover it to compound, tried to do procedure to release rear motors but wasn’t having it, got front free wheeling so picked rear up on blade then used arm to lift front to steer. 400 yards of windy narrow paths back to the compound but got her there and all on my own.

A bit of a pita access wise...so filled dumper up on truck at yard with sand/gravel/cement and take to job so we can drive it straight round.

Materials arrived 8ish

Got some of them in reach of digger when its at bottom

Trench started and got a few in, took a few to get a system going and the digging side on in the slate/shale was steady as needed ripper/bucket combo.
70cm concreted in ground with 100cm/120cm above should be sufficient for a backfill of washed stone.

Could well look decent when we get different heights going etc.
