What a day!
Percolation tests request copy and paste the address into goole mismaps last night showing Llandysyl past Camarthen.
Do same this morning set off pick digger up, guy phones about 9.10 any idea what time ETA? 39min on sat nav, great replies.
Arrive phone up as wasn't quite sure exactly where property was, gave him some info and he replied don't recognise any of those. Put postcode only into sat nav 1hr 17min from job
maps decided it couldn't find full address so must have picked another. Finally arrive at 11.35 left house at 07.00, journey home less than 1.5hr at peak time!

What did we do before sat nav eh?
I used to write out my directions with a page reference so I could flick through the map book as I went.. then circled off where the job was, over the years it’s surprising how many little circles were all over the map books! Technology has ruined us!

Yeah it has, bet most people these days couldn't read a map if they tried, will make sure I use the postcode only next time

Steady day on the wall...bit of a learning curve with the shapes to get it looking right and it pissed it down most of the day, dumper struggled to get round up round the house full of aggregates.
Ffs we need some sun to lift the spirits ....last person to leave groundworks dont leave the dumper running
but on the plus side there was what appears to be a brand new idig combo sensor in the post box when we got back, so cant knock that for service

Pulled the Bota MiniDumper back from the farm project. Its out on a tidy garden job tomorrow (water mains replacement) so needed a wash first. Must have been over 100kg of clay and scalping s stuck to the undercarriage. Took about 20 minutes with steam cleaner to get it all out. Snapped the lashing point in the back of the Dmax. Stupid little things. Need to find a better lashing solution for the bed. Any suggestions?

used to be Clara's favourite past time sat in her seat in the back of the P38 ... map book in the back of the front seat and she'd have it out as soon as she was strapped in
telling me what 'colour' road we were on. Never felt comfortable going anywhere without a map in the vehicle.Have navigated all over Europe on maps ... only time I ever got lost in France was 2009 when I mistakenly believed the Tom Tom over the map ... turned the damned thing off in the end and went back to 'old skool'
