I bet people would still do it if It paid better than other jobs.

Maybe they cant run to the wages ...you would of thought attracting staff with better money is preferable to shutting shop....perhaps more going on.

3m tenoned rails are standard. 3.6’s square edge yes. We always do 3m bays regardless.

On a positive note ..went in the new merc truck dealers up on the dual carriageway and he plugged it in and said it looks like diffuser or something in there had been blocked but pressures normal again at mo, turned light off and said if it does it again it can be taken to bits and cleaned and its too old to go into limp mode anyhow.
And he didnt charge me !

Crushed some more today, 7 hours and a good 300ton, really could do with another machine keeping the belt clear, not the end of the world but could of done it in 5/6hrs with a extra machine. All clean concrete from old milking parlour/silage clamp, made lovely stuff!

Oh and tilty off again, far nicer to load without it on!! Less weight and smaller bucket rotation helped no end!

Most office staff take more s**t for less reward and less pay than the lowliest groundworker. (Excluding managers and directors of course)

Well my todays job is different as taking a short week off for the wife’s birthday. We are filling in some more of the 630 miles of the South West Coast Path. Very lucky to live only 8 miles from closest part of this, even the most distant part is a 3 hour drive.
South Devon this time. Today we were following the railway line around Teignmouth and Dawlish. Some incredible cliff reinforcement works going on above the railway line. Each post on the land slip fence has a sensor and dozens of solar PV sensors up on the cliff above. Active works going on in places. Managed to to get a photo of the kit the use for inserting the SS threaded bars they use to hold the SS mesh in place. Those guys must have some serious RAMS

I approve of that grinder- metabo make excellent mains powered models. I love my 150mm model.

I have a narrow head Milwaukee battery grinder, and I wouldn’t be without it. Excellent for fabrication work.

Cor haven't been down that way for a long time. Remember the railway hanging in mid air though- tricky stretch of line.
