Possible new track barrow (Possible another project) 😀

Hey all

Have had the offer of this track barrow.The guy is unsure of the make of it. Can anyone shed any light on it, please? He's asking £1600 has had a new Honda engine but was running rough he suspects it needs a new carb sounds abit odd for a new engine?

I presume this is a 500kg instead off 1000kg ?

Looks like a JCB td10 would be 500kg ish payload dumper

Jcb htd10. They also did a self filling one with a bucket on the front.

I had one on demo when they were newly released.

They are based on hinowa track barrows but hinowa ones have a totally different lifting mechanism.

Do these like to eat track motors like the newer htd5?

Don't most of the htd5's have some sort of direct drive arrangement?
I know they have just gone back to planetary drive (like a digger).

We use travis for work I was speaking to the hire guy apparently he's had htd5 need new track motors at 100hrs- 150hrs thats why I haven't got one of those just thinking if they share the same track motor

No I think they are the same units as on the hinowa so different to jcbs own htd5

Mine did lock up, a few months back on one side but eventually freed itself up, not happened again since, but will need to look at it but going to see if it happens again.
To be fair mine is 7 years old now and has literally shifted several thousand tonne of material in that time.

All machines will have there issues and it is a fairly old machine

Next project in the garden not sure what to say really tidy barrow it's had a new engine honda gx390 went to pull it over as its got no battery and it won't turn over he's positive it's fine but I'm not so sure oh well got it for £1400 tracks are mint hoses don't look terrible either and it has some weird option for a aux point on the side very weird! Perhaps you could run a breaker off it or something

I squirted a load of wd40 down the plug hole and left it for a few days then ‘cracked’ it over with a bar on the crank - fresh fuel and it fired up! Quick oil change and it’s been mint ever since.

As said above take the plug out & pull the cord, if the fuel tap is left on the GX engines sometimes they flood with petrol.

I ended up with a nearly new pressure washer with a gx390 engine that had been left outside and must have somehow ended up with water in the cylinder so was seized. I squirted a load of wd40 down the plug hole and left it for a few days then ‘cracked’ it over with a bar on the crank - fresh fuel and it fired up! Quick oil change and it’s been mint ever since.

I have to admit honda engines are normally bomb proof some I'm hoping I can rescue it.

Apparently it's been sat outside for 18 months so could possibly have water in there

I got a billy goat leaf vaccume last year for 200 quid and guy said it won't start turns out the petrol tank was full of water so drained and fresh fuel started straight up for about 2 mins then it stopped kept doing it then I realized it had the wrong cap on the fuel tank that was causing a vaccume after 2 mins now it's spot on

would imagine it'd depend on what you were trying to get in the scoop ?

On them the function for the self loading shovel had a change over valve on the high lift. So you could only operate one or the other
