That's Councils for you! The yellow markings on the road outside my lads primary school have almost worn away, another of the parents that is a good mate of mine and owns a lining and antiskid company asked the school on their Facebook page if they would like the lines redoing FOC. The local councillor said NO they can't do it as they're not approved and listed, they need to be approved and on the books to do it..... baring in mind there have been 2 near misses and a fatality in the last 3 years with kids and cars.the big car park outside my yard used to be invaded by pikies twice a year ... morning noon and night I would ring the local office asking when they were moving them ... usually cost thousands to shift and clear up after them ... I offered to make them SUBSTANTIAL height barriers FOC, it they planted them ... never took the offer up ... but spent thousands twice a year shifting and clearing up after the bas*rds ...![]()

Now if they were some cowboy outfit with some yellow paint and a piece of wood I could understand, but they have a nice big internet presence and loads of pictures of the work they have done for other companies around the UK with testimonies, all the relevant paperwork is in place for other jobs they have done, or if they were presenting a bill at the end of it, so needed to be on the approved list. But neither of those things is applicable! we did discuss just cracking on with it one night and get it done, but sods law says no good deed goes unpunished!
