Great job, great mill set up. I've got to get more use out of mine, going to give serious thought to setting it up more like that, much more user friendly.

It’s not the easiest thing to load the mill with but it’s the best thing for taking a stack of timber from the field to the mill.Logbullet next to mill...simply cheating that
I've never seen a gate like that before..The last firebreak maintenance contractors on this site just ran a topper over it, left half of it missed and the other half as a pile of tinder…
The last fencing contractors hit the height barrier and ‘repaired it’ with bolts, before someone else hit it again.
We’ve done an awesome job in half the time cutting and collecting the firebreaks, and repaired the height barrier professionally between 5pm last night and 9am this morning for a very reasonable £250 plus vat. It’s a popular car park, we blocked the entrance for twenty minutes and had a queue of middle class old folk stretching down the road like the tip on a Sunday morning
Recession? Bring it on. Sort the wheat from the chaff. Loads more tractor and digger work to do for this wildlife trust, plenty more metalwork too I’m sure. And the phone ringing off the hook for other work.

Where do you keep the saw mill set up
Mine is a MK7 Transit LWB high roof with 185 BHP. Youre talking about Motorhomes.... Mine will fit pretty much anywhere (apart from under height restrictions) You wont see us camping in a layby either. 104 nights away in last 3 years and supporting local economies rather than flying around.Living round here I detest them...the only satisfaction I get in summer is seeing them on their side or in bits spread across the M6...feel like chalking them up on the sun visor...

And seriously why hire one when you struggle to drive a micra in staines but decide to take one of the ugliest contraptions over the passes FFS .
Then spend £75 k on one but won't pay in a proper camp site and hog all the lay-bys etc ..arrrgh.

the big car park outside my yard used to be invaded by pikies twice a year ... morning noon and night I would ring the local office asking when they were moving them ... usually cost thousands to shift and clear up after them ... I offered to make them SUBSTANTIAL height barriers FOC, it they planted them ... never took the offer up ... but spent thousands twice a year shifting and clearing up after the bas*rds ...The council put them on main local car park (pictured here before they were added) but then allowed a temporary site in one corner 2 years ago so virtually pointless

I set it up to one side at the entrance to my shed, and actually it works quite well as a permanent setup. Makes a nice joinery bench with the chop saw one end.
