Never had any interest in cooking until 4 years ago circumstances meant I had no choice. I like home cooked food.
Who cooks and any nice meals

I quite like doing the hello fresh meals as you can cook a decent meal without the wastage or boredom of eating the same leftovers for a week. Kind of annoys me the quantity that some foods are sold in.

Lucky that we have our own cows to munch on……but tomorrow we are going non traditional and it will be fish. Our friend is joining us and as a non meat eater we are happy to save the Turkey for Friday when all the kids and grandkids are over. Will need a holiday after that!!

We have a good selection of butchers some are even reasonably priced, and there are green grocers if you want to take out a second mortgage. The best place is the fruit and veg stand at the market on a Thursday.
But all these have the same problem that I'm always to busy to get there so shopping is either delivery or Sunday morning lidl

Mrs P does all the cooking as a rule but when I’m off work I have a bash . I like having a go at recipe cooking now and then and will also have a bash at a bit of ad lib . She’s a vege so I’m making a puff pastry spinach thing for herself and the traditional meats for me and bro in law . I made a sticky toffee pudding tonight that hopefully will go down well tomorrow . Can’t beat local butcher meat as far as I’m concerned . I’d happily never go to a supermarket ever again .

Yep same. I dont use recipes as such as end up sticking all sorts in but always seems to turn out good.

The fascination with this doesn't go with that sometimes baffles me lol

Sounds like my kind of cooking, the recipe is largely dictated by what's in the cupboard, lots of improvise, adapt, and overcome :ROFLMAO:

It's all getting very arbtalkish 😂😂

Good stuff but not when you hungry this thread I predict.

Alright then I'll raise you this Christmas pressie. Heated lunch box. Had a food thermos before but doesn't always keep things hot especially if they aren't submerged in sauce. This means proper leftovers for lunch or even take a container of sausage and bacon and some rolls separately and make gear on site. 17035296416711035180900749086541.jpg

I’m keeping it simple, on carnivore diet, with intermittent fasting 20-4 or one meal a day. Just beef mince and eggs or chicken and eggs and tinned sardines or anchovies if on 20-4. I had got uncomfortably fat and thought a change of lifestyle was in order. I’m down five and a half stone. I am not fanatical about it and it sometimes goes awry but I stick to it most of the time. I don’t miss veg, but I do miss sweet stuff and bread.

That’s awesome, and what I intend to try next year! Until then I’m doubling all the carbs. Did/do you have a drop in energy levels?

Been on the same since August. Incredible changes

Highly recommended. I went pretty much no/low carbs after being diagnosed as only 1 blood level point of being diabetic. Lost 10ths, blood glucose down to normal, blood pressure medication no longer required. Sleep better, but actually less, lots of other positives. Still can’t resist the odd piece of cake or slice of bread occasionally but only a fraction of what used to pass my lips!!

No drop in energy. If anything I feel better than I have done in years, even after the first few weeks of adjustment before I had lost weight. Also found my low level arthritis has cleared up. Low/no carbs is said to reduce inflammation. Seems to be working for me.
