I couldn't afford to put a tilty on 2 machines, or at least saw it as not the right move, its worked out well, not missed the 8t as the WN doesnt give up much in reality and the 6t is night and day compared to the 3t and goes everywhere that did.
I knew i would know if id got it right if the 3t never came out of the shed which has proved to be the case so far

Had exactly the same with my 3t never ended up going out so got traded in for another 5t so both run the same tilty if I have to leave one on site and start elsewhere for a while
Seems like we do very similar work and what plant we have works for us well

Had exactly the same with my 3t never ended up going out so got traded in for another 5t so both run the same tilty if I have to leave one on site and start elsewhere for a while
Seems like we do very similar work and what plant we have works for us well

5/6 ton is a sweet spot for machine size tbh, can do a lot or a little with it!
I very rarely think that I need a smaller machine, if I do it’s only access limited - in which case £50 for a day hiring a micro or 1.5t in sorts it out

I am really surprised @Gunners never went down the 5/6ton path, although I do appreciate he has first dibs on my machine

Lovely job. A decent ripper is on my almost never ending shopping list, do you find the saw tooth section as useful as it looks, has planning on having that style?

Seems to help get some purchase sawing/snapping your way round a tree stump - you could really create some persuasive power by prising if you were a rough arse

I've seen RSL make one with a bolt on serated blade on the back of the ripper- thought that could be quite handy severing roots trying to get big stumps out.

On this old farm job once the guy clocked how the gripper could easily sort through all the shite chucked about from 100 years of farming then 2 days have turned into a week, he had us clear round the farm buildings putting metal,plastic,tyres etc into seperate heaps ready for recycling, although can you put a new track in with the rubble and blind it off was a bit unexpected.

And where's little safety conscious fella? Staying indoors for the winter?

I had a bloke work for me for 5 years before he semi retired, our lass used to help if we needed an extra pair of hands so she stood in while I found a replacement....it never happened and its been quite a while.
Never ever grumbles about anything in life, very stoic, shes quite an impressive lass all round I got v lucky 33 years ago !
