The one pictured is built in Canada, 1950.00cad = about £1150, had a price from Approved Hyd. for what i think is a larger version of the Canadian Splitfire £3200, (more than i want to spend) and the more primitive version in the drawing was £1400. Like the double action of the Splitfire, they have dealers in Germany and Holland but nothing showing here.
The idea of moving the splitter to the log from the comfort of the cab appeals .

This. Use the digger and grab to lift the lumps onto a well positioned table and life is easy.
Not sure the skid steer would be my weapon of choice but if its what you have, splitting up the stumps was quite impressive
yep - off the table into bags/crates/trailer .. no bending down to pick up what you've split from the seat
if it won't split .. bludgeon it to death

bought mine from a chap called Shane Mccarney .. can't recall what he was trading as ... IIRC was about 800 quid ... very good value and works beautifully - 16 tonner - not a lot stops it on tick over behind the Zetor
TBH those digger mounted jobs wouldn't be that difficult to knock out ... plenty of ideas about to copy/replicate ... they'm alright if you have a good size burner, but chasing the bits about once they've been split down a bit could well become tedious

Youll get 20lpm roughly, which converts to about 5 gpm, so your on about 25 sec per cycle .The smaller Splitfire model looks more like it, 3 1/2 x 24' ram ? recon you could be pretty accurate with that on a Tilty

Unless your working with rings about 4 ft diameter i wouldn't bother with that style.
Anything smaller and you will just end up with the mrs holding them while you sit in the cab and mive the roller
