A pal of mine wanted me to build him a grain pusher so he can get more corn in has shed (that I put up for him earlier this year) so made a start, its got 1” plate as a back plate connected to a piece of 8” tube with 20mm wall shouldn’t break that

But needed some 1” ply to make the blade local merchants didn’t have any so got a couple of 3\4” sheets and a tub of PVA
Sat the ply on a steel plate on a rubber conveyor

The other on top

Folded mat over the top

Then a couple of road plates and a concrete block to hold it down, did this on Saturday so will see if it’s stuck Monday

A few weeks ago a dozen or so welders came in from a company that had gone bust been thrown in a skip so pulled a couple out from the pile and made a good one from two

And what a cracking welder it is 500 amps water cooled I stuck a electric socket on the front along with a rack on the top for tips, tapes and general crap oh and a grinder holster

SAF range of sets weren't bad tools at all Mog ..... see you still have that hat

Well the plywood stuck a treat but still fired a few screws in for good measure then bolted it to the back plate

Cut the chamfer in the top and the thickener and welded the braces on an angle so the corn doesn’t lodge on any flat surfaces

Oh and everything on that project came out of the scrapyard apart from 8 coach bolts and a handful of screws

Got a bit warm when the wind changed direction

Was about 5’ diameter on top of this with four 2” bolts that I managed to snap off but this was a bit more stubborn

Had to have my old girl put to sleep earlier this yeargod I do miss her
But got this cheeky little sod now helping to replace a few boards on the trailer, and my lord keruing is dear stuff

not bought any in fifteen years or more and was 'kin dear then ... 500 quid to do the new bed on my 7.5 tonner ... 21' x 8' in 25 mm half lap ..... bloody good tack though
