I finally got up to Angus’s yard this afternoon . The grab on the duck is really good . The switch over valve that john Alison has fitted is excellent and smooth as silk . It’s switched by a button on the back of the lever so it’s effortless and quick to go from rotate to close/open grab .
It’s got unbelievable power when you close it and also very easy to be gentle with it . I managed to pick up a disused oil drum first go without squashing it to bits and I used it to load the ducks buckets on my trailer . Absolutely effortless .
I tried picking up some material from a spoil heap and it actually bursts the stones when you close up the grab. I haven’t had a chance to change the shells to the selector ones yet but that’ll come soon enough .

those HPX certainly have plenty of power in them ... having had a bit of a play with a couple I can well believe the NOX tilty is more than capable of holding its own against the others

basically the NOX is a Helac type helical drive ... there are two helical drives in the HPX head Vin, working in contra-rotation to each other

that HPX I had to build the turret for, as the S type pickups are wide and you'd not get the pick up between the shells, bolted direct to the HPX drive body

While I was at Angus’s yard yesterday i saw him and John fitting a new engcon to a yanmar B75 duck .
I had a chance to have a quick look around it . I didn’t take any pics as it’s signwritten and I didn’t want the owner seeing his machine all over net without him knowing about it but I was amazed at what a well specced machine it was . It has full 4 wheel steer , 3 piece offset boom and very soon full oil engcon . Even the breaker can go on the top hitch without needing an oil connection .
I was surprised at the reach the machine has for a 75 it wouldn’t be far off what I have with the Komatsu . Would be nice to try it out .

I think it's hard to beat that HPX drive. I was worried when I bought mine that it wouldn't be man enough for the lumps of granite I needed to handle but boy was I wrong! And as you saw very responsive when a delicate touch is needed.
Wonder what the prices are like on kinshofer tiltys

I was wondering where they would be price wise . That kit to supply the tilt is surely dearer than a couple of small rams . It’s really neat looking though . I’d like to compare the build up height on it and the other tilt rotators .
Do you have clam shells for yours as well ? I think I will need to put mine onto selector as I need to move logs as per your picture

I fancied the kinshoffer tilt rotator but they wouldn't supply the tr7 for the 6t that I wanted.....over here in France they would only fit a tr11 which is a monster of a thing on a 6t, they reckon et65 too much breakout for tr7, shame.
I think build height is slightly more but you could direct mount as it's a narrow unit.

Was initially quoted for a tr06 direct mount ( not tr07) with 3 buckets and it was 20% cheaper than engcon direct mount.
That was for a kub kx57 - when that was changed to wacker et65 they wouldn't put a tr06 on it.
But kinshofer in u.k would !
Anyhow yes 20% cheaper, engcon then offered a free top hitch and I went that way.
I would of gone R2 and Aiden if I wasn't in France, he was very helpful and good price.

I’m quite surprised that the nox was initially competitive . That really makes them worth considering

Yes nearly every exhibitor had them on. I think Hitachi had all the top players on theirs

If a Welsh bloke can knock one up on his open air bench surely they can?
