did they obtain planning permission to demolish it ? you could be on a sticky wicket being the contractor who did the work without express authority from the right 'authority' ?

Not fully demolished, can just rebuild up at anytime if it’s left like that.. shame to loose outbuildings like that, but they really don’t serve any purpose anymore. Too small for much use..

Few pics from last couple of weeks, prep works and digging. Digs dragged a bit due to slow muck away and having to focus on other bits but ready for blinding now. In that sort of ground is when the steel tracks on the mini are a dream. Really unimpressed with the telehandler is brand spanking but the capacity seems well down. Have they updated them recently? We haven’t had one on site in 2/3 years but this one feels particularly poor.

Looking good, not sure on the telehandler front but was in a manitou the other month, not been in one for years thankfully no parachute breaking but if the boom is out even a little bit it locks the jack legs out. Lifting wise was ok but wasn't keen on much without the legs down even the powerfloat at not quite full reach was enough to nearly show overloaded

Picked up some screened topsoil earlier and due to the utter crap track to the place have buckled a wheel on the trailer could probably be repaired but would prefer a new one shame the damn thing is £95 and a two week wait

8x8 oak posts yesterday, would have been a right **** without the skidsteer!
Managed to get a couple of hours on site this morning to help land the parts of an enclosure on a roof, lovely fresh crane and helpful delivery lorry driver, but the crane was late and seemed in no rush to set up so by the time I had to leave at 10.30 (second Saturday on the trot with a bloody wedding...) we'd only got the lorry unloaded and the first few bits on the roof. It's all under control and certainly not actually my problem, bit I don't like driving away from a job where I'd normally be getting stuck in...

I could have done with a tractor set up like that this afternoon- new customer who's ride on packed up, grass grown like mad so they needed it topping so they can get it back into shape with their new one. loads of trees, ornaments, corners etc, lots of reversing and twisting round...
Still, they seem happy, they've got plenty of garden so hopefully will lead to more and it's given me a list of bits to sort on the dexta. Would have been a great job for a petrol flail mower mounted on the front of the mini loader, especially combined with a lawn rake and grab attachments for a complete clear up.

you needed one of these .... nothing stops it

would've rowed it up too last years first 12" cut .... the clear up is a PITA

You can buy hydraulic ones but for the smaller machines there's the problem of having enough flow to power it.
I'm thinking a tow along petrol one, with brackets for the Skidster, which would definitely be a DIY job. Easy enough though, and any excuse for more skid steering! It would be ideal for getting in around trees, cut down on the strimming, get well into the corners.

It is, has a Major without once, never again! My tractors are old but they're for using when needed.

The Vermeer ones with a mulcher overheat hydraulic fluid and I think that’s even with a hydraulic fluid radiator. A Honda donkey engine or two on the front is my vision.

For the build cost would you not be getting in to second hand pedestrian flail money??
The big ones have independent breaks so not to physical to turn. Straight line just let them do there own thing no holding levers and they have to be a slight bit more comfortable than a little skid steer on rough ground. Plus they are unstoppable.
Was a really nice 4ft aebi on FB marketplace the other week
