No. They are sheepbridge, I think they are called laser levels online. Quite a few I know use them too
Sadly although we can advise on as well as repair and calibrate Laser Level products we have originally sold, we do not sell (or have ever sold) Cat Scan equipment. Our main area of expertise is only in Laser Levels and supporting accessories.

Best regards

Good, appear me a good price on a dual grade laser level. 🤣

Your best option would be the Fukuda FRE-203XR Kit.

The Fukuda FRE-203XR is a fully self-levelling red beam rotary laser which levels on the horizontal, vertically, does 90° squaring and dual grade. It is accurate to ±2.8 mm at 30 m, range of 500m, has an IP rating of IP66 (Dust tight / Protected against powerful jets of water) and a 3-year warranty. It is rechargeable but can also run on alkaline batteries.

https://www.laser-level.co.uk/fukuda-fre-203xr-laser-kit.html

At the time of writing the cost is £589.19 inc vat

The kit can also be further upgraded to have the FRD800R Detector which has the mm/inch display. This has a large pickup window and the mm / inch scale to see the elevation or drop on the display e.g 10mm - 8mm - 5mm - 2mm - LEVEL.

At the time of writing the cost of the upgrade kit is £697.18 inc vat.

The direct link for this configuration is:

Delivery is free by DPD if ordered by 3:45pm each working day, insured and tracked to your door.

If you would like to order, simply add all the products to the basket and checkout in the normal way. Payment is then via credit/debit card / Paypal or BACS. Again all via the website.

Do we not get a forum discount anymore?

Does the fukathingy like being dropped as much as the spectra?

Yes, use the planttalk discount it’s still active..

Ultimately no Laser enjoys being dropped, but the Fukuda FRE-203XR has a similar drop test rating to the equivalent Spectra HV302. However, Spectra tend to have a longer warranty and it is generally understood that they are ultimately tougher as they are a premium brand.

Does anyone know of somewhere offering a course on cats and gennys?

A certificate would be nice. I'm trying to increase my employability, it would also be nice to know all there is to know, especially for my own work.
I'm on the Isle of Wight. The people who last calibrated my scanner do a course down near Exeter

The proper course is LA locating and avoiding underground services But I wouldn't say it is all there is to know.

I think mine was nearly a grand but can be had for about 700 quid.
It was reasonably useful, you learn a little bit about lot of different things. I did every module which is
Traffic management
Underground service detection
Underground service identification
Excavation in the carriageway
Subbase reinstatement
Cold lay reinstatement
Hot lay reinstatement
Modular reinstatement (block paving)
Concrete reinstatement

I’ve had that same one for a few years now and still going strong, although I haven’t dropped it (yet). I had to replace the receiver a while ago as it was water damaged, I bought a spectra one that tells you how far out you are.
