Kosran anti-theft device on mini digger

Kosran fob type electronic control valve anti theft device is a clever bit of kit - when it is working ok, but when it fails it is a nightmare. Sadly the company went out of business 2 years ago so no chance of parts. There were lots of machines fitter with the system and I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has knowledge of the system or a wiring diagram. I have found tiny wear patches to bear wires in the wiring under the protective shroud which I suspect has damaged the internals of the controller, blew 2 x 5 amp fuses in the system. To remove the system one needs to know what each of the 8 all black wires does where it is spliced or connected in series into the Kubota KX41-3s mini digger loom. The loom has some black wires too so it is not that straight forward to figure out which original loom wires connects back to its original function. I am seeking a wiring diagram for the machine to understand what is part of the machines basic wiring. Anyone is East Sussex area who knows the system or could help, please message me, not expecting it to be a freebie, but a good auto electrician may be able to figure it out better than me. Thanks

Sounds like a potential nightmare, you could try David at DC plant, he'd come out to you and i know he installs lots of plant security systems, good luck

I had a Kosran, used to think it was the bees knees until my fitter removed it all in under 10mins flat and rejigged the fuel system at that.. never bothered with another one after that! So most decent fitters will sort it no problem..

so does the ''electronic valve'' simply cut off fuel supply together with, presumably the usual other immobilisation circuits, like starter and/or deadman? Fuel solenoid valves usually have a manual over-ride lever fitted, if you can get at it ?
all black wires sounds much like the Scorpion/Sterling thing that went south on Lil jakie, end of '21 ... that was fun too

new unit went back in tidier than what came out ....... had to trace all the individual wires to whatever they had 'command of' as 99% of Lil' Jakes wiring is yellow and the blacks coming out had no traces on them

Yeah it’s basically an additional stop solenoid, they are usually in a metal box bolted somewhere hidden with ‘special’ bolts. Just follow the fuel lines.
I’ve seen afew modern plan engines with this kind of system fitted from factory now, well the stop solenoid is encased in an extra layer of metal.

Hi DaveDCB, yes it is all built around the well hidden solenoid valve on the fuel line. I have easy access to that now, and removing that is easy enough, then tackle the addition circuit isolators birdsnest! Cheers

Hi V8Druid, there is no manual over ride on the solenoid but that is easy enough to bypass. That little birdsnest you had there looks vaguely familiar, but nice job when you had finished.

Update: David has agreed to come and sort it out and fit a new security system; it is an old machine at 2007 but not high hours, it does the job for me - so equally it is worth pinching and would do a similar job for someone else, and probably cost £10K to replace. Thanks again for the contact.

all in the prep ... made life easier for routing all them pesky wires could've shortened it down a bit, but easier to lose a bit of excess, than struggle with too short a wire

When I worked for Harfords norwich subbies use to hop on case tracked loading shovel at the weekend so when I went in on Monday needed greasing filling up with diesel and a bloody mess so the next weekend I turned off the diesel .The subbies jumped on tracking down the road it stopped they had to call out Harrods fitters to get machine off the road I got a vist on monday from Harfords plant inspector he moaned at me but I would not take the blame if anything had happened
