My dad was in the motor trade and I was after a fast car (Impreza etc) in 1999 so asked him to have a look around for something. One of his trader mates offered me a mint RS500 that he’d found in a recently widowed lady’s garage - she wasn’t sure what it was worth and I could have had it for less than £10k.
‘What do I want that old relic for?’ said I…. What a dickhead I was!!!

Impreza are next classic ....try and find a straight one now 😂😂.

many years ago I had the chance to buy, from similar circumstances, an Aston DBS V8 ... sadly didn't - can't recall why - have cursed that decision many times, as they weren't making a lot really back then. :cry:

I had an 80quattro back in the day, wasn't as supercarish as the 5 cylinder 90's with the 2.2turbo lump but she seen off a few impreza's in her day. they would give up and go bang after a good 20-30mins of hard tanking. I'm not a complete dick though I did give them a lift to town to organise their blown up car to be collected 😄
