I was out the other day middle of the Sussex county side and noticed a fairly tatty looking series 3 landrover plugged in to a charger and wearing a green square in it's number plate

I have an e-NV200 Nissan van as a run about to try and extend the life of my pickup. I'm looking to convert it to a mini camper for occational nights away. Amazingly it is the nicest to drive out of all my vehicles and as I never go far in it (longest trip so far was about 80 miles) I never have range worry.

At M6 toll services last week...all 4 charging bays were full...and a little leccy MG comes creeping in...the look of dismay on the poor blokes face was comical .
Tbf 4 chargers did seem a bit dismal

I heard the other week during the sales there was a que of electric cars waiting to charge up at Lakeside and they were waiting for up to 3 hours, I was wondering what would it be like if everyone had electric cars during the school holidays when the exodus of people head into Devon, Cornwall and Wales call me a scinic but i can see all sorts of problems occuring. I have mentioned before about some friends who have kindly purchased a Tesla and Nissan leaf which means I can offset my Ferrari and 911 against them!! Joking apart they also have a Petrol Merc, Can you guess which car they use on journey''s ? Anyhow the Leaf already has F***ed batteries for which they were quoted thousand of pounds to replace so now it just does short journeys and at the moment she moans because they can drive it but she can't have the heaters or wipers on as the battery goes flat in no time!

From people I know its a fantastic car BUT don't go far away from your home charger .Another new name in electric cars is Fisker he use to be with BMW I think designer it is being made in Austria the ocean and in USA later the pear they are a lovely looking car and a lot cheaper than Tesla complete with solar panel sunroof

This country will not cope with everyone having electric vehicles. How can a nation unable to fix potholes provide the infrastructure required to charge millions of electric cars?? If diesel and petrol is banned i fear only a select few will be able to afford to drive, and the rest won't even be able to afford the electric to heatpump their homes

Exactly do the math...be some spectacular scenes if they all tried to charge at once...hence constant updates to chargers...some serious level of control ahead I predict.

Anyone else noticed, quite a few Tesla drivers seem to be taking over from the stereotype BMW and Audi drivers, with some of their antics?

Tbh there is a distinct difference. Bmw an Audi drivers actually get a move on. Tesla's are distinctly more in the porsche class. Driving tediously slow in a high performance car.

I'm not complaining they hardly use the outside lane as their all watching their range ...anything over 70 seems quick bursts leaving it clear for proper cars

I had to take a lorry up the a1m today and kept getting stuck behind the bloody things.
And regularly trundling around the lanes at 30mph when everyone else wants to do 50.
They where revolutionary being the first cool looking electric car with proper performance to boot but most the people driving them would seemingly be better of with a Renault twizzy

Check this out - for this project we had to use all electric equipment and manpower, due to the fact that we were in an active food cooler! The temperature inside was 35 degrees while we cut and removed over 400 pieces of 9” slabs weighing 500lbs each 🥶 #nofumes #allelectric #concretecutting...
