Fuel Prices

I'm looking into getting one now.

The only downside I can see is that if the bill comes on one invoice I can't separate out what I've spent on the van and the digger.

Any suggestions for this? Two cards?

Yes, quite agree. I dismissed fuel cards for years, been one of the better things I've done
You obviously don't need to fill up at services then 😏 still pants down prices

Yup just ask for two cards. Get them to print digger on one and van on the other .
Then you'll be able to see it separate on invoices

For mine they ask vehicle reg and mileage (never bother giving mileage) so you’d just fill up one first give them info for that then a separate transaction with different reference for second.

I was thinking along the lines of having two separate transactions leave my bank acct as this is passed through to the accountancy software allowing me to allocate one to the running costs of the van and one to the job I'm on at the time.

If it all gets lumped on one invoice I would have to separate it manually which is a pain.

So I could get one card for the van and one for the plant.

Are these cards monthly invoice or pay as you go?

I only got card when I bought lorry about 3 years ago. But no sod services, in fact if I'm going up motorway it's usually to go to a job I really don't want but I've got to.

You can either use reg numbers or
I use code letters for each use.

On my accounts package I can split a payment to more than one use.
