Don't complain - suggest what's better
There are a lot of subsidies I don't use and would get rid of, but the loudest pressure groups normally get the best subsidies.and start charging all leccy cars full rate per Kwh for their charging, not the ultra cheapo rate they currently pay .......... thennnnn see how popular/economical they really are(n't)
We could stop the Barnett Formula and let everyone be equal.
We could stop subsidising child care and children in general - don't have them if you can't afford them.
We could stop subsidising trains - if you want to go and earn the big money in London pay what it costs to get there and stop pushing house prices up in the South because of subsidised public transport.
A lot of civil servant and quango jobs seem like subsidies to employ people rather than employing people to get stuff done.
There are endless subsidies as government interfers with our lives. Maybe if they interfered less they could tax us less and we could choose how to spend our own money.

Afaik it was a millennium bug type thing. Everyone thought it was going to be absolute carnage...hordes or experts out there ripping folk off...anyone ever heard of anyone getting fined?

David Lacey who some will know from Facebook groups and maybe old forum runs a surfacing outfit in Taunton Somerset. He had a makita battery go up on workbench not on charge, burnt the entire unit down with his skidsteer, Scania T cab trailer and paver. Was over £1m claim, got it on cctv just sat on bench them starts smoking then fire

I would assume that like most fires, they need air/oxygen to get going properly, so the air-tighter the box the better ?
