I think what your getting at is the fact they probably ain’t doing a lot given one side is potentially loaded up to the top(bank side) and the other (house side) has very little against it?

it's not the greatest of jobs, we started it in April and then realised the architect hadn't spoken to the structural engineer enough and it had to go back to highways etc for redesign It's one of those jobs you wished you had never taken on but just have to continue and move on

Yeah a retaining wall that everyones got involved with
Foundation 2.3m wide with 2 layers of reinforcing mesh etc
.400mm thick foundation
Wall width only .300mm

Sunday job - burn everything!
Last 3 days of sick, throat completely swollen up, going hot and cold shivers, not ideal! Luckily no lads in working for me start of the week so didn’t matter too much, just afew site meetings which I battled through! Joys of no sick pay!

Widened the top jaw on my quick hitch. It takes a lot of abuse being used with a grab and post knocker, plus Whites hadn’t welded it square in the first place 
. 30mm spiraband in a die grinder was just what the doctor had ordered for matching the two sides up. Then wrung the last bit of life out of a poor 30mm rota roach bit and welded before dressing with the spiraband as required. I also built up and dressed the edges of the plate where it had worn.
Most of the play was in fact coming from two tiny dimples of wear on the main sliding face, a five minute weld and grind job with no disassembly required- but widening the jaw will certainly help and I feel better for having done it. Things like the cone splitter are particularly bad for it.
If I had my time again I’d be all S30 but such is life.
