What sort of money do these sort of sheds go for at auction? And what’s a realistic cost per m2 to drop and haul? I’m working towards putting my own up in a couple of years and starting to explore options. 10-15m X 20-30m with decent eaves height is what I’m afterLittle bit big for me!!
no idea, but dare say a lot who bid totally underestimate the effort required in dismantling them .. and the cost of doing so .... deffo not a cheap exercise as it's unlikely that one would be able to just 'rock up' on site and dismantle it, without total compliance with every syllable of whatever the HSE would require .... probably more so than was required to erect itWhat sort of money do these sort of sheds go for at auction? The first building on that listing is nigh on exactly what i need but aside from dismantling etc it won't work with my retaining wall it needs to go in front of without modifying. Good job it's not too near because it would be tempting but I'd rather get the building which is right for the job even if it costs a bit more than live with something which just isn't quite right.no idea, but dare say a lot who bid totally underestimate the effort required in dismantling them .. and the cost of doing so .... deffo not a cheap exercise as it's unlikely that one would be able to just 'rock up' on site and dismantle it, without total compliance with every syllable of whatever the HSE would require .... probably more so than was required to erect it![]()
Get one taller than what you need and gas axe the legs off!!As mentioned it's extremely expensive to take down existing buildings, especially if the legs are concreted in and blocks built in between the legs. The cladding is the big thing if you get it off and stacked the rest is a big mechano set. 1 / 10th of the cost of new build for the first 10 year after that you need to be paid to take it away.
Yes I’d imagine it’s a costly as an erection..!no idea, but dare say a lot who bid totally underestimate the effort required in dismantling them .. and the cost of doing so .... deffo not a cheap exercise as it's unlikely that one would be able to just 'rock up' on site and dismantle it, without total compliance with every syllable of whatever the HSE would require .... probably more so than was required to erect it![]()
good way of looking at it.As mentioned it's extremely expensive to take down existing buildings, especially if the legs are concreted in and blocks built in between the legs. Nephews are 3 and 6, might be a bit too soon yet?My old man put our first owned workshop up circa 30 year ago which was a second hand building he bought it the time and has done us well albeit an extra few bays would have been handy. There's pictures of me as a 11 year old driving the matbro with a jib on it lifting up the crane rails with my Oldman and grandfather up ladders at either end bolting them in place. The answer might be to make it economic you need to exploit child labour![]()
Never to soonNephews are 3 and 6, might be a bit too soon yet?
