He’s just made it hard work, should have slewed around and pulled himself at the same time, rather than simply pushing his blade down into the muck even more!
pretty sure his blade was up as far as it'd go ..... that way round to lift the other end out of the tish and push ...... his mates were giving it plenty of pulling :giggle:

Seemed to look like he was just lifting himself up more than pushing 😂

if he was coming from this direction he's either coming from Caparro Tubes, Tafarnaubach IE in Tredegar, or Rodelle Chimneys in Brecon, which'd be my best guess looking at the attached channel on the side of it
Taking the piss that overhang is ..... "elastic tape officer, only measured 10ft, when I looked at it ... and it's marked " :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Passed it yesterday still parked up on the roundabout

Not the breakage I’d have expected for an overload, Gra. More usual for the flyjib to fold up?
not yer ordinary fly though Bri .... the root of that is 3.4t, then add on, looking at the angle in the pic, maybe 40-50ft more at 'praps another 15-20+t, plus cat head -- without a gantry mast supporting it, it is asking far too much of the main boom's cat head construction to cope with that loading .... even pinned on as a straight tip extension it would need the support of a mast, by nature of its very size and weight

appreciate these pix are luffing fly jibs, but that root will have the facility to fit a mast for a straight 'pin on' assembly - just can't find a pic :(

I see where you’re coming from now, Gra. Didn’t have much of a chance really. Blowing up the picture, it looks like it’s ripped right round edge of the HAZ rather than on the weld.
