Disco 4 what's the alternative?

I've had my current disco 4 for 5 years now and considering getting her replaced. Problem is what do you replace it with? What's a similar machine?
The new disco 5? Just A newer disco 4? Merc gls? I quite like the idea of the F150 but don't want a lefty.

Mitsubishi now do the Shogun and Shogun sport in various commercial setups could be an option
The Disco 5 is very nice to drive but I can't see them lasting long as a work vehicle

I do agree, but she is 2011 and 90k on the clock. Maybe just go for a newer version of the same

tha's a plus one from here too ... .... not as I'd turn my nose up at a left hooker too - had plenty of LHD cranes ..... and it'd keep Pam out of it

You genuinely cannot beat American trucks. The left hand drive thing doesn’t even bother me one bit. The only time it’s complicated is when you are down a country land following a tractor or something as you can’t see out down the road

The only other thing to consider is that they are the length of a lwb transit

The spec is eighth up there with the range rovers of this world

No its the Ranger Raptor. 2L diesel and cant tow 3.5t or carry 1t so cant claim vat back on it. But it does look really smart, have the full fox suspension setup and you can always make the V8 noises when you're driving round Tesco's carpark like its the Dakar

It is quite good, very similar to the VW anorak.

Personally I'm waiting for the new Defender although based on how LR destroyed the Disco I'm not holding out much hope for it....

I've often been tempted by the idea of importing a Landcruiser or Patrol from Oz. We get bent over with the soft UK spec here.
