well had a quick shufty at said saw this afters and the lock out button for the trigger is exactly like the black ones you sent me @Canal Navvy@Canal Navvy said - "Switch buttons for a cordless Makita circular saw courtesy of L & S engineers" .... (quote/reply won't work on your post for some reason????? )
thanks - you having a clear out? .... sadly I don't have one ..... got a corded, sliding, mitre chop saw in their colours though ..... anyone else have one ??
I was trying to think of a member who buys off and recommends L & S , who likes to keep a stock of parts that are likely to fail and who also has stopped using Makita![]()
Exactly how Rory said to lift mine - and it worked (three times!).left of centre.... some time ago we were discussing lifting radial drills somewhere
just found this actually attached to a Richmond radial drill, by the manufacturers .....
could be a useful reference for someone.
they're obviously using eye bolts in the T slots of the base

yeh it's how I've always lifted 'em, but a sling under, rather than rely on the T slots, plus always crossed 'em under the arm too .. no chance of it swinging thenExactly how Rory said to lift mine - and it worked (three times!).
I've had a fair amount of practice in me time, with my own gear and other ppl's ... used to do a lot of machinery shiftingIf you watch cutting edge engineering on YouTube, he's been moving his machines round lately and you can see how he lifts them quite nicely.

this took some standing up 27tI remember seeing that before. Quite the square peg in the round hole...I've had a fair amount of practice in me time, with my own gear and other ppl's ... used to do a lot of machinery shifting

place was a PITA ... 95% of their presses were taller than the roof structure and everything had to go in on its back, through an even lower area and be stood up, threaded into the roof steelwork ... that Rhodes was 27t, mega awkward thing to handle and a good two feet into the roof space.I remember seeing that before. Lol, sounds like a nightmare but clearly you priced stuff so it didn't matter!place was a PITA ... 95% of their presses were taller than the roof structure and everything had to go in on its back, through an even lower area and be stood up, threaded into the roof steelwork ... that Rhodes was 27t, mega awkward thing to handle and a good two feet into the roof space.
Yank owned automotive component manufacturer ....... were in there almost every other weekend for years, moving lines about ... press shop had over 100 presses in it with next to no room to move about in. we had it off to a fine art
Pam's vege box sleepers came from there .. had four Hare 7t C frame presses flown over from the states at $20,000 each, in a 747 ... waited all day or 'em to arrive and eventually turned up at 10.30pm in a snowstorm ... customs had ****ed 'em about ...
spent the night uncrating them and installing in position ready for the 7am shift ...
the sleepers formed the not insubstantial pallets/stillages they were shipped on, on their backs ... 24 of 'em in all and some 8" square oak baulks, holding 'em all together. Big pallet basically
"can you guys get rid of all the shipping materials for us please? "
"No problem" Had a lorry full coming from there![]()
we earned our corn that day/night
Not me, M’lud , not for Makita, Stihl and Vintage Villiers my scene !Angus @modelman093 always speaks highly of them .. they are good TBF. ... think @doobin also does and is a Mak user (or was, I think) other than that, now't springs instantly to mind ....
