I quoted for a couple of floors this week just put lottery numbers on it as someone I don't even know and I know they haven't a clue about what's required. I don't mind working without birdcage where it can be done relatively safely for myself but not to keen risking life and limb for others

Makes me laugh we used to be hanging off the ridge with a leg wrapped around the truss and hamer in 1 hand nail in other leaning over trying to nail the binder, no fall arrest or bags etc just a straight drop, all the site agents were interested in was wearing hard hats, had many a discussion on what risk of something landing on us.
Never any mention of the 30 foot drop through trusses and joists!

used to love them .... sadly my body no longer doesKettle chips sweet chilli
...any 'strongly' flavoured crisps, etc., set my allergies into overdrive (like hay fever, but 365)

Was involved in the big ones up here in 18. Once it gets into the peat it's not good...
Power washer lance forced in hard is effective.Had tractors and slurry tankers just constantly shuttling water and artics ferrying it up to top of the moor and dumping it in those temporary lagoon efforts.
One issue was lack of kit.they were asking for gators and marookas anything LGP at one point. Wildfire teams now just got haglund of their own this year. They discovered hiluxs on road tyres ain't much cop in the peat . especially with flames heading towards it...abandon ship
they were lucky. Not seen one proper wildfire up here yet this year...

Bit of wood butchery on a landscaping job. All oak including the trellis, the bandsaw mill is paying its way.

This one was luck, we are working two fields over and clients house/woodland was at risk, so off into nextdoors field to stop it coming across.
Fully expecting another call out tbh
