Today's job was sight seeing Elan valley Had a tour through the second dam as the first one they are repairing and have dropped the water down to do the repairs

did you go up to Clarewen dam as well Stu ? 's impressive

Gong to Aberystwyth today to ride on the narrow gauge railway and then see the water falls at the end of the line

Picked up a third cut and collect cheap locally ish. Bloke said he’d deliver it, turned out he worked at the next farm down the road up till three years ago!

Added a hydraulic top link without check valves, and I’m using the float on what would be the loader spools. Doing a lovely job. 1.5m rather than the others which are 1.25m and it’s like the tractor doesn’t even know it’s on there.

A few teething problems with the flail but nothing a couple of hours workshop didn’t sort.

did you notice the abandoned foundations lower down the valley, in the river bed, 'fore you get to the first one .. I understand they intended it as a further reservoir but changed plans

Didn't see that one or the base of that one

Went on the narrow gauge railway from Aberystwyth up to the devils bridge today
And walked down all the steps to the bottom where my wife had a melt down over the arch bridge to cross the river (she's got a fear of heights and was crying and shaking just at the thought of it ) ordered us not to cross while she went over as to not over load the bridge or shake the bridge
Water falls were nice and refreshing from the spray due to the climb up to them

yeh that's a pretty flimsy little bridge that, down the bottom ... not for the faint hearted in the height dept.

It’s a flail collector so it holds it in a box then you drive somewhere to empty it. Usually a nettle patch at the edge!

Here it is set lower doing a cracking job of creeping bramble removal on a nature reserve.

A little Komatsu we fitted a rotate kit too today. We also converted the hammer lines to buttons on the joysticks so that both the hammer/shear and rotate lines are on buttons.
Runs really nice...... and not a CE top in sight

Aiden - have you had a close up (under the panels) look at a Bobcat E27 by any chance? The factory supplied second proportional service (controlled perfectly from the factory joysticks) is tee’d into the boom offset (switches over from offset to 2nd service, which is fine). It delivers a very disappointing flow (which I use for rotate) - any clever thoughts as to how to plumb it differently but control it the same and get oil to hose out at a million litres a minute?…
