I looked at the computer - 22mpg on the last trip. Still not good, but not like my old Defender that used to get arround the 17-18 mark and it was so uncomfortable I had a job to get out of the cab at the end of a run. These days I keep to a steady 60, most of the time on cruise control. Saves on stress, fuel and tyres.

Looks heavy on the tow bar from photo. Appearances can be deceiving but looks like 1200 miles would be a long old haul.

It is reasonably well balanced. The back of the Ranger always squats a bit, always has.
Distance wise it is just getting your head round it. I'm being paid whether I'm driving my digger or my pickup.

If like mine, and its got a factory fitted towbar, they are high and you end up going a little heavy to keep the trailer somewhere levelish.
My plant trailer I`ve swapped the ball for an eye so it sits a little lower, and I can get the ramp down without the support bar digging in, or having to find holes or ramps to park on.

Get some airbags fitted to that truck, it transforms them for towing.

That’s down my way. First glance looks good but can’t have much reach as doesn’t look like any stabilisers.bet the drawbar, etc., groans on this ... the jockey certainly is ..... God only knows what the nose weight is ??

If you had a gooseneck /5th wheel tipping version then you could have a load capacity of about 3500kg I should think. Enough for 3t with Tilty and buckets, and then a decent mobile muck away wagon. All on a B+E license1.4K views · 8.2K reactions | Johann Tischler on Reels
