Pickup Tyres - Alternative to BF Goodrich?

I am in need of new tyres for my ranger, it seems that BF Goodrich are the go to for all terrain tyres but I can't really justify the cost.

What are people running as alternatives, needs to be an all terrain as we regularly head off across fields or into the woods, quite often towing too.

Cooper Discoverer. I have a set of AT3 on my Ranger and they have worn well, plenty of towing. On the tipper Ranger I have the Discoverer STT Pro. Wanted something quite agressive, and it's suprising how good they are on the road too. Surprisingly low noise, and an excellent weight rating.

They do a STT Maxx too, but that was getting on for BF Goodrich money, and also looked more road biased than the STT Pros. I'm very happy with the Pros so far.

Yokohama geolander AT are superb tyres they where considerably cheaper than bf Goodrich but have been creeping up in price faster than the bf's

Maxis are good tyres to never run them so don't know what they wear like or are like in all conditions but they are nice to drive with whenever I have used a truck with them on.
Avoid Event like the plague they are horrid tyres

I've had a few sets of Grabber ATs. Not as good as BFGs but for the money they last ok.
Slightly softer sidewall so better in the wet but not as good if you get rock etc....as I found out in the lakes

Currently got falken wildpeak at3w on mine, have been really good, no extra noise, grip well. Rated all season with the three peak logo.
Not too bad on price.
They are a 110 load rating like the standard tyre.
Currently on the fence whether to change them, not because of performance issues, as wear has been good, they have done over 2 years and 30k+ and loads of life left. Just need a different load rating to gain 80kg on the rear although not sure it's worth the extra cost.

Terraroura are apparently worth a look but not seen any sort of reviews from anyone who not sponsored by them

By far the best tyres I’ve had on a pickup were Continental CrossContact AT, they were not super aggressive, certainly not BFG competition off road, but enough grip for occasional off road use, brilliant on the road and did huge mileage. Sadly couldn’t find them again in the size I wanted, no idea if the are still available in other sizes?
Fitted Maxxis Wormdrive now, I think they could be a BFG tread pattern copy? Very similar anyway. Off road seems plenty good enough for me, road holding also very good. I fitted a pair on the rear first, ran them for probably a couple or years, not huge mileage though, and now put another pair on it to go with them, surprised how much wear are on the original pair I fitted compared to the new ones. So maybe they are a bit soft? But they hold the road very well so I’m not complaining. Nothing worse than super hard tyres that scared you to death in the wet!

I had a set of BFGs on the last truck which were good off road but had a tendency to collect small stones then throw them at the paint work .

The ones that only come out over 80 make a hell of a ding off the side tubes on the hilux

Get your hand in your pocket and buy the BFGs - my last set did 60k miles and I still got money for them from eBay after I took them off.

(Cooper Discover STTs are also very good from experience).

They weren’t ordered - that pic was 1/2 hour after I picked it up.
(I will admit that the chrome is still currently in situ though as life has got in the way a bit recently. It will be going as soon as I get a sec as it makes my teeth itch every time I see it!!!).

Having run BFG on various vehicles I’m disappointed that the ones on my camper van appear to be falling apart after about 15000 miles. Manufactures are ignoring my emails ../
