As above- are they any good or a bit underpowered? Rated HP is less than my Hyundai 1.7t. I know that's not the be all and end all but it doesn't sound enough.

Don't think I've been on a 25, been on loads of 30's an they where decent enough little machines, don't know wether I'd buy one tho unless it was cheap.

Nothing in particular, they just were never quite a kubota, not as quick, powerful or comfortable for me, but I have always been a kubota man. That said the little hitachi will do a job and will do high hours if treated right.
Does the 25 not look a little short in the undercarriage?
Doobin don't let my personal preference put you off, if it's tidy and the right money buy it, I always say that after a couple of days on any machine it becomes second nature and you don't think about how it drives.
End of the day it's an hitachi, and they're built as good as any.

It did look a little short to be fair. I wasn't all that impressed by the demo of the ZX19U I had prior to buying my Hyundai- found it pretty gutless.

Yeah them 19's ain't great, the older dash 1 zaxis were a bit better tho, I'm not sure the 25 will much more productive than your Hyundai. I only take the 3 tonner when absolutely necessary, I'd rather work the 1.5 flat out than it feel tight with the 3. And the other thing is a 3 tonner is bloody heavy towing round, don't care what anyone says you have to always have your wits about where as the 1.5 is pleasant to tow. The last thing is rates, I get £25 a day more for the 3 ton, it hardly warrants the difference in purchase price or running cost.
Just my opinion mate, but I've been asked by two customers this week why I turned up with the 1.5 when the 3 would fit, it's simple, it's easier for me and cheaper for them.

My thoughts exactly mate. The Hyundai really punches above its weight.

@doobin .... Alex's dad has a 3t 'Tachi ... ... I've had a little time on it and it felt a nice tool .... Alex'd fill you in on it, but it performs real well with him in the seat

We’ve got the the zx27u I think it is last of the small ones with the big bum on it and it’s a great machine runs well digs well smooth to operate, lovely machine I’ve always liked hitachis tbh been on most the sizes and they are just a reliable honest machine

Even of that age, Alex? Am, I expecting too much from a 2006 machine comapred with a 2016 1.8t?

Is a 2013 model I think from memory, I’ve never been keen on the zero swing Models tbh find the cabs cramped and a little unstable, although I found the little Doosan 3 ton zero swing was great working on 45 degree banks
