workshop sundries

So after a few years of saying I am going to do it I am finally sorting out my workshop and sorting out some sundries supplies. Got lots of screws bolts and such like but looking for good places to buy assorted grease nipples bearings and bearing housings also stuff like thread lock cutting oils and anti splatter spray. At the moment it is only for a home workshop but looking to expand that in the next couple of years to servicing lifting equipment so not really looking to go down the account route at the moment. Do you have any suggestions for good place on line to buy them as I am over in Norfolk so would prefer them delivered. thanks in advance

Ebay is good for things like that. Or try MSC supply.

Get yourself an MSC account, I know you say you don’t want to go down that route yet, but it’s worth it with them. Should be dead easy, they are a super firm to deal with, they set the benchmark in service imo. But once you are on their list, then you will get the monthly Advantage paper, it’s usually full of the very things you are talking about, and usually at very good prices for that month, if you can afford to wait, then the general workshop items you speak of will definitely come up in the offers.

The problem I have is not spending too much each month!

Don't be loyal to one supplier. Never heard of MSC but I bet I can get it cheaper on eBay

Set up an eBay search, filter by 'UK only', 'Buy it now' and 'Condition: New'. Sort by cheapest inc P&P first. Bookmark this- every time you type something in, hey presto- cheapest in the UK deilvered to your door.

thanks for the answers guys will have a few items saved on ebay already but looking around and see if there was any better prices or bundle deals to be had as this will be the bigger start up orders. Shovelhands have set a personal account on MSC tonight so I can get the emails at least for a start but you hit the nail on the head with your last line about not spending to much with them that is why I am hesitant to go down the account route as will be skint before I start already have to many tools according to the family and best mate

This is how I do all my shopping for bits & bobs. If it's not time critical I drop the "UK Only" off.
