Wiring fault Case 580G

Started today. There was a wire broken off the positive bolt on the starter, red in the attached pics. It goes up to the engine wiring harness where there is a trip switch. I never noticed that it was loose when the problem occurred as there was at least 2 other loose wires around the starter. The relay can be seen in the top left of the first pic. Hopefully this thread might help someone else in future.

Other pic is a copy of the wiring diagram from a 580E workshop manual, this diagram is for a machine with relays.

Charlie2 the DB engine starts ok, probably needs a re build at some stage, after we get the swing tower pins and new bushings. Thanks everyone.

I had a similar issue with my old tractor and found that it was a wiring problem. A possible problem area might be the + cable from the battery, as you mentioned.

There is what seems to be an empty crimp! And where does cable I’ve outlined in blue come from and go to?
