At the moment, I am the opposite. Ive got all the cheap s**t covered and the diggers worth more than all of them together.

I personally gave up insuring individual machines 4 or so years ago.
the 7 tonners are unlikely to go walkies and have extra homemade security in place anyway.
The little diggers aren't worth more than £4000-6000... Insurance would pay out probably 2/3rds of that and at £500 odd a year each the figures don't stack up. Dumpers are worth even less.
Prevention is better than cure. BUT that Kubota is worth 20k+ realistically! Needs Insuring!

booby trap it with claymore mines. lol But yeah insure it I did right away with my tractor wasn't that expensive. If you've got any cold weather coming give it an oil change with some 5W40 or 0W40 if its really going to get nipply. I had a relatively warm day today so I put 0W40 Rotella T6 in my tractor full synthetic of course.

Kubota's are very good with the keys. The only way for them get get it without spending a long time there is to drag or lift. That said do get insurance and do spend some time slowing them up.

A mate lost his red key along with the last black key for his Kubota digger recently. I remember someone offering a bypass service somewhere (probably on the old forum) for 3 or 4 hundred quid - I’d imagine the pikeys can do the same bypass if the opportunity arises...
Cost him a grand to get someone from Kubota UK to come out with a laptop and sort him a new set of keys - they needed written confirmation from the supplying dealer along with the previous owner before they would sort it though (which is good). Apparently the chap with the computer had earned his grand before the kettle had boiled for his brew...

I locked my keys in my Kubota while it was running
. No one local had anything. Had to break in, in the end. Got a spare set now
