I recall my miss-spent youth- trying to start up rusty machines abandoned in hedgerows.

First time I ever drove was an old Nuffield tractor. My mate and I managed to start it with the dipstick and he prompty drove it into a gatepost. No damage, but we had to haul the chain harrows back manually (which is no mean feat for a pair of twelve year olds) so I could reverse the tractor back and hope nobody would notice!

if it was running when left there i should think it would go again 6cyl ford if it has simms injection pump should be straight forward enough.

That will go with a bit of fettling, Do all the checks Put battery on it crank it over but dont start it just get the oil around everything, My first hegrow machine was when i was 12 spent most of the summer holidays on it, Twas was a JCB Hydradigga!

It's so dry I reckon I can get the pickup right up to it! Not seen a spring as dry as this for ages!

tracks look 90% .... rest's a bit so so ...... 'course it'll start with enough determination (and batteries/cherry/'start ya bastard', ether /etc.)
