Bit of a strange request - does anyone know where I could get some wheelnuts stripped and passivated or alternatively any ideas where I could source these?

They are off a set of second hand Land Rover wheels I’ve had refurbished - I’ve not seen nuts like these before.

We have similar on the truck for alloy wheels, using the normal length wheel studs, and call them sleeve nuts.

Do you know what thread they are?

Mate of mine does knives and stuff I'm sure it's ferric chloride you dip it in for a while. They look mint after he's finished.

Nice one - I dropped them off at Niphos metal polishing in Crewe who said they would do it/gave me a quote etc. When I chased them a month later they said they couldn’t do it and couldn’t recommend anyone else… Muppets!
