What jack make?

I need a new trolley jack but would like to try something other than the usual Clarke or Halfords stuff. What's a good make?

sealey seem a good make and I also watch bad obsession motorsport on youtube and they have been using a brand called winntec for taking apart a old ford cargo truck

The 3 toone one with the twisty handle one seems to be fairly generic sold as Halfords Clarke sealey draper and so on
Around 100 quid and a fairly decent jack
Is there anything specific you want to use it for or just small vehicles ?? The ones with 2 pumps and an extra long handle are good
The foot pedal connected to the pivot pins are absolutely useless

I want something that can lift 3tonne. A high lift long reach one would be nice but I suspect they are north of £500 and I'm looking at £100 to £200 max

Theism to do up to 3ton then 10ton , they even sell 6ton axle stands with a 3 ton trolley . Does no one do a decent 5ton trolley jack?

Costco sell a nice one for great value. Have had mine for years and still works like the day I got it 3 tonne lift, low entry and light weight

Used to use them when “ jacking and packing”. (Birdcaging) transformers and boilers etc.
One for the OOPS section; don’t have one in the cab when you tilt it - new windscreen

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I'm after something high lift as possible. The SGS one is cheap and lifts to 500mm and I've seen one on machine mart that goes to 700mm and is £300

@wee_gus a jack/ram power is basically pressure x volume
So I would just get a large diameter ram cut down to the right size then use a 10,000 psi pump to power it
So a 4” ram working at 10,000 psi will produce about 56 tonnes of push
A 6” one 126 tonnes

Yeah I've a Hydraforce, it does the job for me pressing pins and bushes. The manual hand pump is a little undersized so takes ages to move the ram under full load, but realistically I should have bought the air powered version instead of being so tight.

I sold a nice Enerpac set up when clearing the w/shop ... Know who to and could ask if he'd like to part with it ... only down side was 3ph



other source for 10,000psi for a pump would be a hand held punch, power pack -- probably find one of those easier -- search for Nitto Kohki or Imac or Alfra punches/power packs 240V and really powerful ... will put a 24mm hole in 16mm plate






really regret skipping this one ..... 15hp motor on it
