I'm kicking off a thread on equipment and peoples opinion of them. I would like the thread to be civil with no model bashing without cause, just a place for member to get information before they buy.

I'd buy it for the colour coded seat alone.

Seriously, were I lookign for a larger machine, I'd not discount Doosan. That machine looks very clean.

Mate has one just turned 7k hours, it's been a reliable machine. Wouldn't say it's my favourite machine to drive but that just preference and what you get used to.

Aren't mustang skid steers just a badge engineered gehl? Around here gehl seem to be the machine of choice, I know a bloke who`s just replaced one with a new gehl again, see quite a few on farms, all the tarmac gangs use them.

We had a 2012 DX140 and in the 3 years we had it we had no major problems, only issue was the top rollers at 1500h and they are light on the leavers

Driven a DX140, 2014 build was a real nice thing to use. Probably be on my list of machines to look at if I was buying a 13 tonner. But it's no hitachi, probably not the same money either?

That's the only problems you get with them. We have two currently in the fleet, you can put radio speakers on that list as well there a common fault. We had same shape model pre reg-gen engine been fitted put 8,000 hours on it was no problems at all. Only cost us filters and oil to run it.

Heard recently somebody talking about the ADT's they build these days constantly have emission's issue's soooo......that might be something to take in to consideration. I have yet to hear anything bad about Mustang or Gehl skid-steers they are owned by the same company I think and built in South Dakota, 'Merica'.
